Scott S. Smith | Photographer and Filmmaker
While obtaining a degree in photographic technology from the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies, Smith earned the prestigious Kodak Grant for Documentary Photography, landing his work in the permanent collection at the renowned Southeast Museum of Photography. He then worked as a studio photographer, master darkroom printer, and freelance photographer.
Scott’s attraction to a well designed layout, shape, form, and composition led him to earn his degree in graphic design from Flagler College where he later returned to teach. As a faculty professor at Flagler College, Smith taught studio photography practices and techniques to emerging designers and photographers. His experience as Art Director at Zag Advertising, as well as, freelance designer for some of the top agencies in the Southeast, was vital to his success as one of the premiere freelance image makers in the Southeast.
After working as an art director and designer Smith launched Scott S. Smith Photographic, LLC and has enjoyed working on photographic projects with a variety of superb clients ever since. His work has taken him on assignments across the US and abroad, and he enjoys a variety of photography disciplines including editorial assignments, events, weddings, environmental and studio portraiture.
Today, Scott is the premier wedding photographer and videographer in the Southeastern United States and he travels worldwide for a select client base.
